Hello everyone! We arrived safe and sound! Two uneventful flights, a night in Nairobi, looooots of food, very little sleep, a hair raising 7 hour bus ride to our northern location, a flat tire, a stop by the police, but we arrived safely last night!
Upon arrival we were immediately plunged into our first taste of camel meat. Tastes like chicken... kidding! :) It wasn't too bad. This morning we each had a tour of town including lunch. We stuck to chicken and fries. :)
The guest house is nice and we are adapting to our new family. The team is awesome, and we all get along very well.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving... Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! After a visit to a local school, we will be treated to a somewhat traditional Thanksgiving meal and a little downtime... which I'm sure we are all looking forward to.
We have other things planned, and will post those soon.
